About Me

  • Currently serving as the Student Commercialization Manager for the IDEA Center at the University of Notre Dame.  I oversee the Student Commercialization Team of 9 students, a $100,000 fund, and 39 student ideas looking to become startups.
  • Graduated high school from the Culver Academies in 2015 with Honors in Entrepreneurship; part of a Management Team for the Rubin Café, a student run Coffee Shop that grossed over 30,000 in revenue. Recipient of the Culver Meritorious Achievement Medal, the highest award that can be given to a Culver graduate for exceptional service to the school in every aspect- academically, socially, athletically, and a demonstration of exceptional character, and graduated holding the second highest position in the Cadet in Corps (Regimental Adjutant) with the rank of Captain, the highest rank that can be held at Culver.
  • Launched my first company junior year of high school- Menerva International Advising. Menerva began as a company that helped high school students create LinkedIn profiles and manage their social media presence, but quickly expanded to include writing profiles for clients of all walks of life- at its height counting over 100 members of the team in over 30 states and 12 countries.  Company was selected as a Finalist for the US-Spain Chamber of Commerce Business Competition for companies doing business in both countries, and a Catapult Incubator for Young Entrepreneurs company.
  • Nominated by the Culver Academies which is a direct nominating school for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship at the University of North Carolina, the oldest merit scholarship program in the world for undergraduate education, as well as the Danforth Scholarship at Washington University in St. Louis and the Robertson Scholarship at Duke. However, chose to pursue collegiate fencing instead and accepted an offer to join the University of Notre Dame Fencing Team.  Active member of 2015-2016 ACC Championship team.
  • Identified a problem with summer storage services for bulky items at Notre Dame and co-founded Xstudia, a company designed to help students move out and store their items during the summer at affordable rates to save them time and money. Raised $30,000 in initial investment, and company competed against 7 other external companies and was selected to launch a Pilot Program at Notre Dame for this summer, which it did so successfully.  Hired a new management team and the company is now expanding to other university campuses after a successful launch at Notre Dame.
  • Hired as a summer Intern for Ecwid. In the first two weeks identified and currently leading strategic partnership agreements for student outreach with three organizations- Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA-PBL), Catapult Ideas, and MIT Launch. Based on the hard work and success with these initial products, I was requested to complete an onboarding project for the primary competitor’s products as well as our own user onboarding experience to see what we can do better.  The results of my findings led to my being assigned to oversee the overhaul of our site and our user onboarding experience, and then begin work doing the same for all our various plugins on different platforms such as WordPress, Wix, Weebly, Joomla, and Adobe Muse.
  • Hired after summer internship as a Business Development Manager to continue work of running the user onboarding experience for our 1,000,000+ merchants across our various platforms. Focus includes direct management of Ecwid branding and market positioning for each specific partner, growth of paid accounts, and oversight of the Ecwid product development team to ensure execution of new initiatives.  Work directly for the CEO of Ecwid.
  • In the fall of 2016 launched Digistorix. Digistorix is a SaaS (Software as a Service) application focused at providing distribution and management of digital tickets to universities and private organizations dealing with large quantities of digital tickets created by any third party ticketing company for all events hosted by the organization via a mobile application on user’s devices.  Currently working with the Culver Academies and the University of Notre Dame Ticketing Office and Development Office to create a pilot program first for Culver, then for Notre Dame.
  • Currently developing Vision Textbooks for the University of Notre Dame’s Office of Financial Aid and the Hammes Bookstore. Vision Textbooks will allow the Office of Financial Aid to designate certain low income students who struggle to pay for their expensive books to receive access to a custom university application, where they can select from certain textbooks that are available for free to them, and then pick those books up from the bookstore.  Vision is designed to be discrete, secure, and help provide and easy means for students who have a true need to get many of their books for free.
  • Launched BGMK Global as my holding company now for various ventures in conjunction with my partner Brock Gallagher. Currently hiring management for our various companies within the company, and continuing to actively look for true problems where the solutions can help either students or universities and make a real impact in someone’s life.
  • Personal passion for giving back that I enjoyed doing was working with Joni and Friends to help children with Downs Syndrome in Madison, Mississippi where I live. Events where I worked as a buddy helped the parents have an evening out to relax together while we took care of their children and did fun activities with them.  My goal is also that every business I am involved with should give back in some way or another, from Xstudia donating items no longer wanted to local shelters, to Vision Textbooks helping low income students save money and receive access to new textbooks.
